Annika first caught Abraham’s eye in November 2019 during a brief encounter at their organization’s headquarters in Geneva, where Annika was working at the time. They didn’t know it then, but life was already quietly plotting. Six months later, Annika was posted to Amman, Jordan - where Abraham was also based. A mutual friend helped Abraham by playing cupid, and it didn’t take long for Annika and Abraham to realize how much they had in common. Their bond grew steadily deeper, and in November 2020, they made things official. Since then, their story has unfolded across borders and time zones. They’ve worked together in places like Poland and Ukraine, and weathered stretches apart in Jerusalem, Kyiv, and Copenhagen. Through it all, distance only proved what they already knew: their love was built to last. Today, Annika and Abraham are based in Helsinki, where they share life - and a fair amount of chaos - with their two Jordanian cats, Mushmush and Olive.
